Philippine Academy of Medical Specialists – The Philippine Academy of Medical Specialists is a non-stock, non-profit, medical organization duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission since December 8, 1994. It was initially organized for all the holders of Medical Specialist Diploma given by the Ministry of Health since 1979. Due to the clamor of doctors who have trained in their respective specialties and want to be a member of PAMS, its membership was opened to medical specialists who have undergone formal training. Presently, PAMS is composed of 43 chapters nationwide, 28 specialty disciplines, 5 affiliate medical specialty organizations, and 2 affiliate basic science organizations.
